Description
7 [3 a% l7 J, E9 vZCC5160 is a step-down DC/DC regulator with an
7 S3 a% L- H/ j6 Yinternal switch, featuring SKIP control mode, which
combines low quiescent current with high switching
2 b; |2 n/ x" N. Dfrequency to achieve high-efficiency regulation over a
9 l+ E; `' N9 V  \0 \9 Gwide range of load currents. SKIP mode uses a short
1 T$ }- k* Z. |"burst" cycle to switch the inductor current through
the internal power MOSFET, followed by a sleep
cycle in which the power switch is turned off and the
load current is provided by the output capacitor. At
- x6 k5 D3 c7 g. y) p* C7 d# Wlight loads, burst cycles are a small fraction of the
+ v: l; }7 N* c; e3 F, ototal cycle time, minimizing average supply current

ZCC5160 features low-value 100mΩ high-side and
: o9 W8 k5 p, i0 q+ _80mΩ low-side MOSFET that provide at least 3A
% W$ H  R3 N* g5 L+ o) h# M! ^output current capability with excellent load and line
transient response.
Additional features include: soft-start, thermal
shutdown, UVLO undervoltage lockout, gate driver
undervoltage lockout, maximum duty cycle limit timer,
$ m9 K9 e2 t8 ~, w$ `: }% T2 dand current limit shutdown timer. It also integrates
3 I3 K  s& j; W, R# h) _output short-circuit protection, providing HICCUP
/ @6 G$ k; l: E! v7 mmode when the FB voltage is low to avoid
overheating during short-circuit.
