1 General Description
The RPC8201F is a single-chip/single-port 10/100Mbps Ethernet PHY transceiver that

6 |1 s) n( c- \2 i2 k4 Q  M( h• RMII (Reduced Media Independent Interface)
9 o# v6 K4 [( \- K; KThe RPC8201F implements all 10/100M Ethernet Physical-layer functions including
the Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS), Physical Medium Attachment (PMA), Twisted Pair
7 M& j8 O( Y/ NPhysical Medium Dependent Sublayer (TP-PMD), 10Base-TX Encoder/Decoder, and
Twisted-Pair Media Access Unit (TPMAU). The RPC8201F support auto MDIX.
The RPC8201F uses mixed-signal processing to perform equalization, data recovery,
and error correction to achieve robust operation over CAT5 twisted-pair cable.
The RPC8201F offers integrated built-in self-test and loopback capabilities for ease of
0 J6 Y& k6 j) Y. h- Zuse, and innovative and robust approach for reducing power consumption through EEE,
& J3 [& X8 ?- W$ K( ~3 h8 M% PWoL and other programmable energy savings modes.
